When you go for a longer travel one of the hardest question is what should I put into my bagpack? Well, you can read a lot about this topic what traveler think its necessary, the must haves, can haves, the maybes etc.
Nevertheless, after all my travels I have done so far, I came to the conclusion "less is more"
I personally experienced that during a 3 weeks vacation with my friend Valentin in Australia in 2010. While I had a full bagpack of clothes, Valentin just came with a shopping bag includes 1 spare T-shirt, 1 spare underwear, flip flops, tooth brush and 1 swimming shorts. Well since then, he is the master of light traveling ;-) Florian who just came back from a 2 years world trip also told me, if he would go again, he just would use a 35l bagpack and in the end the only important things are your passport and money ;-)
Well, actually so true!.
Well, GIulia already said from beginning, that she will use her 38l bagback which we even shared during our travel in India (2 weeks). But during travel we had to press and squeeze it all the time together.
As I didn't want to squeeze it on each single stop and also wanted to have additional space for whatever (food, tent etc.)during travel, I decided using a bigger bagpack approx. 65l and minimizing my weight as much as I can.
So i managed that my whole clothes is 4.5 kg, Toiletry 1kg and the bagpack alone is already 2.5kg. Actually 8 kg in total would be perfect. But unfortunately it isn't everything.
As I decided to take nice pictures or writing a blog I have another 5 kg only for electrical parts like DLX camera, kindle, notebook, phone, converter, power bank, charger and various cables.
In addition I recently bought a Furch travel guitar which has 3.5 kg and this is something I really wanna do during our travel. Playing guitar :-)
SO all in all......
4.5kg clothes
1.0kg tolertry
2.5kg bagback
5.0kg electric
3.5kg guitar
=16,5 kg
Autsch, that's heavy and all my good intension somehow gone! Damn it!
Anyway considering Giulia has just 8 kg, she might want to carry something. ;-)
OH, WHAT a GENTLEMEN!
