Darwin or Darain?
Rain Rain and Rain!
When we booked our flights to Australia we never really looked up the weahter forecast for Darwin, just booked it as i was happy to see another part of Australia and mainly cause it was the cheapest way to Sydney. lol Ahhhhh Mistake!
Well, we recommend never go to Darwin or "Darain" (thats how we actually called it after 2 days), in the rain season. Darwin and the surrounding area is actually pretty amazing if you google it and see all these nice picture and activities you can do, but for us.... oh no.
Unfortunately, our motel was a complete desater. First the owner let us wait 1,5 hours outside in the rain, cause he was sleeping in bed, completly hangovered. He didn't apologies at all and even gave us a dirty room with no bedsheets etc. Anyway after another hour we finally had a room, just slighty better. We couldn't leave that room for almost a day as it was pouring down all the time.
Next day ~ similar situation~ so we decided to rent a car from the airport, so that we could at least see something of the city and surrounding areas and without getting completly showered all the time.
Our third and last day was still rainy but way better than the two days before. We were at least able to walk a bit on the beach and unfortunately just short walks in some national parks cause the tracks were closed cause of rain.
Well enough rain ~ Darain
